About Match Doodle

Last updated: 1 October 2026

It started with one little girl

I built Match Doodle for my daughter, Ayavika. She really loves matching games: animals to their food, colours to things, babies to their mummies. But it was hard to find enough good ones. Most apps had only a handful of games, often with ads in between.

Turning screen time into good screen time

Like many parents, I also wasn’t happy with how screen time looked at home: cartoons on TV, and sometimes reels. I knew screens weren’t going to disappear, so I asked a different question: what if that time could actually count?

So I started making games for her myself. Calm and colourful, with no ads. A friendly voice reads every question, so she can play before she can read. Every game grows from easy to tricky as she does. And a daily time limit ends play gently, so when the time is up the screen goes away without a fight.

The stickers were her favourite part

Finishing a game earns a sticker, and those stickers gave her a real sense of achievement. Seeing how proud she felt with every new one showed me how much small wins matter to a little one, so stickers and badges are now part of every game.

Now it’s for your child too

What began as a few matching games for Ayavika has grown into 44 games: phonics, numbers, colours, shapes, tracing, memory and focus, for children aged 2 to 6. I hope your little one enjoys them as much as mine does.
