All 44 learning games for toddlers and preschoolers

Every game is made for children aged 2 to 6, read aloud, ad-free, and has Easy, Medium and Hard levels. Games marked “free” can be played without an account; every other game can be tried for one round.

🎨 Colours games

Naming colours is one of the first ways toddlers learn to sort and describe the world. Matching, finding and colouring by name turn that into a game, and the voice says each colour so the word and the colour go together.

  • Colour Match: Draw a line from each colour blob to a thing of that colour (red → 🍎) Builds: Colour names, matching.
  • Colour Hunt (free): "Find something red!" Tap it among 3–6 pictures. Builds: Colour recognition.
  • Colour Baskets: Drag each picture into the basket of its colour. Builds: Sorting by colour.
  • Colour Memory: Turn cards to find two blobs of the same colour. Builds: Memory, colour.
  • Colouring Book: Pick a crayon and tap parts of a picture to fill them (apple, sunny day, flower, fish, house, car, butterfly, hot-air balloon, ice cream). Free play; ✓ when done. Builds: Creativity, colour, hand control.
  • Colour It Right: "Make the roof red!" Pick red, tap the roof, one part at a time. Easy/Medium: the part glows and there are 3/5 crayons. Hard: 8 crayons, no glow. Builds: Colour names, following instructions.

🔷 Shapes games

Recognising shapes helps with early maths, letter forms and spatial thinking. Children first spot and name shapes, then find them in real things like a ball or a door, and trace them to build the hand control that writing needs.

  • Shape Spotter (free): "Find the triangle!" Tap it. Builds: Shape names.
  • Shape Hunt: Draw a line from a shape to a real thing with that shape (circle → ⚽) Builds: Shapes in the world.
  • Shape Sorter: Drag each shape into its hole. Builds: Shape matching.
  • Trace Shapes: Trace circle, square, triangle, rectangle; then oval, diamond, heart; then star, from the green dot along the dotted line. Builds: Pre-writing, hand control.

🔢 Numbers games

Counting real objects, one at a time, is how number sense begins. These games pair each number with the right quantity, so children learn that “three” means three things, not just a word to recite.

  • Pop & Count (free): "Pop 3 balloons!" Each pop is counted aloud. Builds: One-to-one counting.
  • Count & Match: Count the pictures on the left, draw a line to the number. Builds: Counting, numerals.
  • Number Spotter: "Find the number 5!". Builds: Numeral recognition.
  • Trace Numbers: Trace 1–3 (Easy), up to 6 (Medium), up to 9 (Hard), in the usual writing direction. Builds: Writing numbers.

🔤 Letters games

Knowing letter shapes and their names is an early step towards reading and writing. Spotting letters, matching them to pictures and tracing them gives children many short, playful repetitions.

  • Letter Spotter (free): "Find the letter B!" (A–H on Easy, more on higher levels) Builds: Letter names.
  • ABC Pictures: Draw a line from a letter to a picture that starts with it (B → ⚽ ball) Builds: Letters and words.
  • Trace Letters: Trace capital letters A–Z; letters with several strokes number each start. Builds: Writing letters.
  • First Sounds: "Which one starts with B?" Tap the picture. Builds: Beginning sounds.

🔊 Phonics games

Phonics teaches the sounds letters make, and blending those sounds into words is the key early-reading skill. Every sound is spoken aloud, so children hear, see and tap at the same time.

  • Sound Spotter (free): "Find the sound sss… like snake!" Tap s. Builds: Sound → letter.
  • Picture Sounds: Draw a line from 🐍 snake to s. Builds: Hearing the first sound.
  • Blend It: Letters light up one by one as each sound is said: "kuh… uh… puh… cup!" Tap the ☕. 🔁 plays it again. Builds: Blending: the key early-reading skill.
  • Trace Sounds: Trace the lowercase letter while it says its sound (a, s, t, … b) Builds: Letter formation (lowercase).

🐾 Animals games

Animals are a favourite with little children, which makes them a natural way to practise matching, memory and new words: what they eat, where they live, the sounds they make and their babies.

  • Animal Sounds (free): "Who says moo?" Tap the cow. Builds: Listening, animal names.
  • Hungry Animals: Draw a line from each animal to its food (🐰 → 🥕) Builds: Knowledge, matching.
  • Mummy & Baby: Match each animal to its baby (cat → kitten) Builds: Vocabulary.
  • Animal Homes: Match each animal to where it lives (🐦 → nest) Builds: Knowledge.
  • Land, Water, Sky: Sort animals and vehicles into land, water or sky. Builds: Classifying.
  • Farm or Jungle?: Sort animals into farm and jungle (and pets at home, from Medium) Builds: Classifying.

🧠 Thinking games

Memory, patterns, odd-one-out and shadow games build attention, working memory and early reasoning: the thinking skills behind maths and problem solving.

  • Same Same: Draw a line to the same picture. Builds: Visual matching (first game for 2-year-olds).
  • Memory Cards (free): Turn two cards at a time to find pairs. Misses don't count as mistakes. Builds: Working memory.
  • Shadow Match: Match each picture to its black shadow. Builds: Shape perception.
  • Big & Small: "Tap the biggest elephant!". Builds: Size comparison.
  • Odd One Out: Which one is different? (Easy: same picture and one different; later: a fruit among animals) Builds: Categories, reasoning.
  • Pattern Train: What comes next on the train? (AB on Easy; AAB, ABC, AABB later) Builds: Patterns, early maths.

🎯 Focus games

Focus games ask children to wait, look carefully and follow a rule, which builds self-control and attention. They are short and calm, and gently get faster as the child improves.

  • Stop & Go (free): Pictures pop up one at a time. Tap the ✅ one (frogs), let the ✋ ones (fish) pass. Letting one pass is never wrong. Hard: faster, and every other round the rule switches. Builds: Impulse control ("stop and think").
  • Busy Picture: Find all 3/4/5 hidden ducks (or octopuses, teddies…) in a crowded scene; Hard adds look-alikes. Builds: Ignoring distractions.
  • Where’s the Ball?: Watch the ball go under a cup, the cups swap, tap the right one (3 cups, 1–3 slow swaps on Easy; 4 cups, 4–7 quick swaps on Hard). Empty cups stay lifted. Builds: Sustained attention.
  • Listen & Do: "Tap the dog, then the ball, then the star." Steps grow from 1 to 3 through the game. Builds: Listening, working memory.

🌍 Me & my world games

Feelings, weather, vehicles and community helpers help children name what they see and feel every day, and talk about it with grown-ups.

  • Feelings: "Find the happy face!", then "Can you look happy too?". Builds: Emotions.
  • Things That Go: Match vehicles to where they go (✈️ → sky) Builds: Knowledge.
  • Weather Wear: Match weather to what we need (🌧️ → ☂️) Builds: Everyday reasoning.
  • Community Helpers: Match helpers to their tools (doctor → stethoscope) Builds: Community, vocabulary.

🤸 Get moving games

Movement breaks between screen games get children off the screen and moving their bodies, which helps them settle and focus again.

  • Wiggle Break (free): "Jump like a frog!", "Clap 5 times!", counted aloud; 8 seconds each, then "I did it!". Builds: Movement, counting, a screen break.
  • Animal Yoga: Cat stretch, tree pose, flamingo balance, turtle curl, "Dance! Now FREEZE!". Builds: Calm, balance, self-control.
